Ask anyone in San Diego.

Ask them who is the single most influential leader in the community. Ask them who is the person you can always count on to get something important done, the person you would want leading your cause.

They will tell you it’s Malin Burnham. There are few in the country who even come close.

He told me the other day about a priest he had met. He asked for the priest’s business card. On the back was the following statement. I want to share it with you. The back of the card said:

To Comfort the Disturbed. To Disturb the Comfortable.

In our work, for many we call on, this could be our motto also.
